Skill Set Survey

In February 2007, State Treasurer Richard Moore announced the start of a statewide financial literacy survey to measurer North Carolina students’ knowledge of saving, credit, debt and other financial issues. $kill $et, a random stratified survey developed in partnership with the Department of Public Instruction, was administered to seventh graders at 20 schools across the state. The results of the online survey, were released in April and provide the most in-depth analysis ever of North Carolina students’ financial literacy.
